Fernet and I had a great weekend at the International show in Santa Rosa this weekend. Fernet is now a International Puppy Champion. She scored a SG-1 in each class. We definitely need more practice in the ring before we show AKC but a great start!

Happy Holidays! December 1st Magnum had his 7th Birthday and December first the first Magnum/Hemi litter turned 3 years old! I love hearing from all my past puppy families, all are doing well and growing like weeds. We have decided to keep Voodoo, a pup out of Diesel and an outside Harl female. Hoping she will be our next show prospect! Also already looking at show dates this next year for Fernet, shooting for the Int. Nat. 2 day show in Santa Rosa end of January = )

It has been a busy year. We took the boys to Bark in the park this last weekend and had a great time. The River cats have this event 2x a year, this was our first time. We will definitely go again. I have been receiving pictures and hearing how well the Diesel/Hemi litter has been doing...we are proud grandparents...lol....they are getting big! Everyone has mentioned how well behaved this litter is, I have heard that they have all started going right up to the door for potties and that even their first night in the crate went smoothly with only about 10 minutes of crying! We are also getting ready to send the Diesel/Billet litter home. They are 7 weeks....just yesterday I had a puppy family contact me. #2 Dona Carlota is available again...she was sold at 2 weeks but because of personal reasons they are waiting for a future pup. The #4 pick of litter female Harlequin is also available. We have had the most interest in her but are not wanting to trade puppies which has been most of the offers we have received...lol.

Bailey just came into heat....we are looking at breeding her this heat to Diesel. We also just received her OFA rating of Excellent! We are so proud as she was born and raised here. Bailey is out of Magnum and Hemi. We have started a waiting list for their litter already. For more info. please contact.

Wow, have I been busy! Diesel and Hemi's litter has turned out amazing! All the puppies sold really early on, we had one pup that sold at 8 weeks otherwise all were sold from 2 days to 6 weeks. We have already started our waiting list for Diesel and Billets litter, this is Billets first litter so we are really excited. We expect her pups the week after Easter. I have been loading lots of video's on youtube under Gem Danes Great Danes.

I have also been really busy with my new mantle female pup Fernet, do I feel lucky to have her! She is amazing! I have already had lots of interest in her future!

I also started carrying dog treats, toys, shampoo's supplements etc. Check out Carrie's Customs Facebook page for more info. Contact me if you are looking for something special. I also carry horse products and hand painted belts and boots. Most of the horse Items I sell are custom, monogram saddle pads, brass nameplates and unique specialty items, great for gifts.

Also, on my FB page I have a video of a older Mantle male who is at the animal shelter, he is in need of a home! If you are looking at adding a Dane to your family please consider rescue first, let me know if you need help finding the video.

Sorry it has been so long since I have written. Happy New years! We were blessed on February 8,2011 with a litter of 8 healthy puppies from Diesel and Hemi. Details are on the puppy page. At 2 days old we have already sold two and have two pending.

Also looking forward to this years Doggie Dash in early June. This event is a fund raiser for SPCA and is held at William Land park in Sacramento. If you are interested in joining me and the Sacramento Great Dane group or are interested in donating please contact me. Last year I raised just over $1,000. This year I hope to raise at least $1,500.

We are also looking forward to Billet's litter this summer. This will be her first litter. Still not totally set on a stud yet, leaning toward Diesel as requested by many! I have already started a waiting list for this litter. If interested please contact.

November 16,2010

Hemi went to Orangevale vet and had her OFA hip x-rays done. The veterinarian said that her hips looked excellent and her heart was good. Once we get her rating's they will be posted on her wall. We also just sent of the AKC DNA tests for Hemi and Billet and will have those numbers posted as well. Diesel's importer finally received his export pedigree. Diesel is FCI registered and to AKC register him we have been waiting for this document. As soon as we receive that we can register him and show him next spring! I was starting to worry!

Everyone is good, Delilah is having her second birthday party on December 4th. I will take Magnum and Hemi and of course Bailey since it is her second birthday also! We hear Dexter will be there, can't wait to see him! He will be one January 22!

Wow, what a busy summer! Diesel is starting to get the hang of stacking in his conformation classes and is no longer trying to sit on me when I place his hind feet. All the other dogs are doing great also, we have been working with Bailey also and plan on showing both her and Diesel at some local shows this next spring. I have been busy getting my horse ready for next show season also. I took him to a show this last Saturday to school and he was amazing! Of course Magnum came along as usual and received lots of attention! I will get some new pictures up soon of all the Danes. It's that season again, time to dress up the dogs and get them to all the Halloween costume contests! Have heard from many of my puppies families, all are doing well, Delilah will come stay with us again end of the month, we will have to make special treats for all the dogs on Halloween!

Hemi is going to go in about a month for her Hip and thyroid testing, Billet and Bailey will go in for all their testing in December, both will be 2 and will be able to get their OFA ratings. Results will be posted on each of their pages.

I have been so busy! Delilah came and stayed a weekend with us, the picture below is during her stay. I took her and Magnum to the Woodland farmers market and to the horse barn. She wasn't to sure about the horses and stuck close to Magnum! Also I am very excited, I will start show classes this Wednesday with Diesel!

Everyone is doing great. Took Magnum and Diesel to the SPCA Doggie Dash in Sacramento for the third year in a row. Thanks to all the generous donations I raised $1,015.00! I walked with the Sacramento Great Dane group, as a group we raised over $3,500. Had a great time, it was nice to see everyone. Delilah, Magnum and Hemi's daughter from their 2008 litter made it and had a great time rolling in the grass with Diesel while we waited.

I helped place a couple Fawn Danes this last month. I really worry about all of the Danes that are going to end up in rescue's with the Marmaduke movie coming up.  Because of this I hope that all breeders are going to become even more strict in placing their pups.

Wow, have I been busy! My pups are all in fantastic homes! I love all the updates I have been receiving, keep them coming!

I am walking with Magnum and Diesel in the SPCA Doggie Dash for the third year in a row. I am joining the Sacramento Great Dane group. I am fund raising, 100% of the donations go to SPCA! My personal goal is to raise $2,000 by June. So far I have raised $495. All donations are tax deductable. Magnum and Hemi have had there second and last litter. Magnum is getting older and we have decided to retire him. (Once he gets neutered he will start his new life as a therapy dog! Magnum and I both are excited about this!) They had 4 boys and 1 girl, all mantles. We have 2 really nice show marked pups! They aren't quite 2 weeks old and we already have 2 sold, 1 pending and 2 available. I have had a few inquiries new inquiries and have a couple families still on the waiting list that are undecided on the last 2 available and am sure they won't be around much longer! There eye's are just starting to open and they are really scootin!  If you are interested and would like more photo's or info please contact us.

All of are other Danes are doing great! Hemi is the best momma ever, Magnum is still a little afraid around the puppies but will now walk up and smell them, as soon as they move or make a noise he runs off! Billet and Diesel are doing great, Diesel is huge! Almost 8 months and a solid 33" at the shoulders and growing! Billet is a good 32", I think she will mature at about 33". She is such a pretty girl! We just received Diesel's FCI papers and now need to get started on registering him with the AKC. If all goes well we plan on breeding Diesel and Billet in just under a year. Happy New Year Everyone! I hope everyone had a good holiday. I am very excited to announce Magnum and Hemi are expecting their second litter January 21. I have already started a waiting list so if you would like to be added or have any questions please call or e-mail. I have received a couple new photo's that I will post on the past puppy page. One of Max at 1 year and one of Atticus at 1 year in his santa suit that you can also see below.
Diesel has grown so much! He is almost taller than the girls. His shoulders are 31" but his butt is taller than there's. Need to get him weighed he is such a tank!

Went to Delilah's first birthday on December 4th. Had a great time. Luz did a great job putting the party together, she had goodie bags for all the dogs, homemade cookies for the people and a amazing birthday cake shaped like a bone. Happy first birthday to our last December litter! I was amazed at how tall Delilah has gotten! She is only a year old and taller than her mother Hemi! I am so lucky to have each of our puppies in such amazing homes!

Looking forward to the future, we plan on breeding Hemi later this month for her and Magnum's second litter! We have already started a waiting list. The last litter turned out amazing!

Diesel has grown so much! Everyone goes to the vet next week for there yearly checkup shots etc. Will post his new weight. I posted a new picture of Magnum in his saddle at the Halloween horse show on his page, he loves to wear his saddle.

Diesel went to the vet for a check up and shot at 16 weeks, he is now weighing 57.5lbs. A week ago his height was 23". He is a easy keeper and his feet keep getting bigger! I have never seen a dog with bigger feet than Magnum but Diesel might pass him up! I also heard from Atticus's family, they sent a picture of him in his bath tub which I will post on the past puppies page. He looks so handsome with his ear crop. Everyone keep the photo's coming! I love to hear how my babies are doing and love the photo's!!!

We have had our new pup for a couple of weeks and couldn't be happier. He is huge and has the best temperament! When he was a couple days over 13 weeks we weighed him at the vet at 49.8lbs. I will continue to post pictures as he grows. The picture below is of our walk yesterday, we had a summer storm and the dogs loved the cool weather.

We have had Dehiliah for the week, her parents are coming back today. I will miss having her here with us, she is such a sweetie and is so much like Magnum! She is 9 months and already taller than Hemi! When Dehlilah got here Hemi was so happy to see her. She kept licking her face. This last week I also purchased a new male pup from Russia. He is a lightly marked harlequin male. We havent decided on wether to call him Ed or Stoli. E-mail and let me know what your vote is! I will start a new page and post picks. He will fly in a week or 2. I should know by Monday or Tuesday! Below are pictures of Delilah on her stay.

Not much going on, am waiting for Xena to come in heat to breed to Magnum. I am really looking forward to that litter. I plan on taking pick of litter from that breeding. Hoping for a nice large show marked male to show and carry on Magnum's line. I am also looking forward to seeing Dehlilah next month, she is going to come and stay with us when her parents go out of town. Will post pic's of her visit.

I love hearing how all the puppies are doing. They are now almost 7 months old. I ran into Dehlilah's mom Luz, Dehlilah is doing well. She often takes her to the dog park in Lincoln. We plan on meeting up so everyone can play. I also heard from Bailey's Mom Shannon, she says Bailey loves the water and sent pictures of her playing in the ocean. I will continue posting pictures and stories that I am sent of the puppies.

Today was a sad day for our family. We had to put Harley to sleep. She was almost 13 years old and lived a great life. We will miss our Harley Hoo, things wont be the same with out her.

Magnum and I just got back from the Sacramento Doggie Dash where we went with the Sacramento Great Dane meetup group. We had a great time and Magnum got to see his full brother Bigson and Cosmo again. Magnum was on Good Day Sacramento where they interviewed Magnum and I and a couple of other smaller dogs at the event.
The doggie dash was for SPCA, if you can please donate your time, money or foster a animal at your local SPCA, pound or rescue group of choice. There are so many homeless animals with the economy.
